On a sunny Monday evening (11 June 2018) an interesting combination of trains is caught at Cogload Junction, to the north of Taunton in Somerset. In the foreground, Colas RailFreight Class 70 locomotive no. 70807 heads 601Z, Westbury Down TC to Crediton, Devon. On the flyover line is a Class 221 Voyager of Cross Country Trains, forming 1V59, the Manchester Piccadilly (1405hrs) to Paignton service. The early running freight was checked to allow the passenger service to proceed into Taunton station.
