The Passing Place

Whilst waiting for a steam excursion headed by the Duchess of Sutherland on the morning of Saturday 28 May 2022, I had the good fortune to capture this scene at Chelvey in North Somerset. Class 43 set no. 43093/43160 'Castle-an-Dinas' of GWR heads down the line as 2C69, the Cardiff Central (0900hrs) to Penzance service. Caught in the exhaust haze is 43010/43029, working as 2U10, the Penzance (0540hrs) to Cardiff Central service.
