This is a view of the short stretch of line between the High Street and Brayford level crossings in Lincoln. At 1747 hrs on Thursday 14 July 2022, Class 66 loco no. 66719 of GBRf heads west with an early running and rather lightly loaded 4E39, the Tilbury (1227 hrs) to Wakefield Europort liner service. Light levels were lower here than in the immediate surroundings, mainly due to the presence of high buildings close to both sides of the line. This was shot into the light. I was keen to catch the loco between the two crossovers.
