A low-tech safety device designed to prevent tall vehicles coming into contact with the overhead power lines on the ECML. This is Moat Hills level crossing, just north of Doncaster station. At 0856hrs on Tuesday 16 May 2023, LNER Class 801 'Azuma' no. 801225 heads south, working as 1E02, the Edinburgh (0548hrs) to Doncaster service. The train terminated here due to midweek engineering works on the ECML north of Peterborough.
