On one of the hottest days of the year, the flyover at Cogload Junction near Taunton shimmers in a haze caused by the heat and the train exhaust. Having crossed the flyover, a Class 43 HST of CrossCountry Trains heads down the line towards Taunton. This was 1V50, a service from Edinburgh to Plymouth.
