The train is 1L19, the Liverpool Lime Street (1951 hrs) to Nottingham service of East Midlands Railway, seen here on the western approach to Warrington Central station. It comprised Class 158 set no. 158799, and Class 156 set no. 156411. It had been a dull evening, but the weather began to clear and helpfully provided about twenty minutes of good light before the sun dropped behind the building line.
