Taking coal to Wales seems counter-intuitive, but this train marked the resumption of bulk coal traffic from Avonmouth to Aberthaw power station. The train was 6B20, top and tailed by Class 70 locomotives of Colas Rail, (70815 & 70808). Sadly the lineside vegetation here at Hallen prevented the capture of the full length of the train. The bridge carries the railway over the M5 Motorway. The Severnside industrial complex and the M4 Severn Bridge provide the backdrop to this scene.
