This scene is an attempt to capture the gloomy atmosphere of the interior of Birmingham New Street station. The light levels here are so low that this image has some difficulties with digital noise in the dark areas despite my best efforts. Looked at from a sensible viewing distance however the result is not too bad. A Class 390 'Pendolino' set of Avanti West Coast departs platform one on the late morning of Thursday 20 May 2021. This train was 1B40, the New Street (1150 hrs) to London Euston service.
