The Early Engineers

The Early Engineers

A pair of Freightliner Class 66 diesel locomotives head down the line at Cattybrook near Bristol on the morning of Friday 27 October 2017. This working was 6Y40, a civil engineers train running from Westbury to Margam. At this point the train was two hours early and took me by surprise, so I failed to get the number of the leading loco. 66542 brings up the rear. In the upper left corner can be seen activity related to the erection of OHE masts at Pilning station.
