Leaning into the Curve

Class 158 DMU (no. 158952) of Great Western Railway leans into the curve as it heads along the River Avon between Avoncliff (right) and Freshford stations on the morning of Wednesday 08 November 2017. This was service 1F12, from Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central. The pillbox on the right is one of several in this area, fortunately none of which saw action in the 1940's.
