Harbour Arrival

Harbour Arrival

I was born about ten miles down the road from here, but this was my first visit to Portsmouth Harbour station in over twenty years. A Class 377 'Electrostar' (377 444) of Southern draws into the station as 1S18, Brighton (1130hrs) to Portsmouth Harbour, on the afternoon of Sunday 19 August 2018. This station was heavily bombed on several occasions during WWII. One or two of the buildings nearby look as though they would benefit from similar treatment, not least the tower block behind the train in this image!
