On the late afternoon of the hottest winter day ever recorded, a pair of Class 68 locos of Direct Rail Services head northwards over the River Avon at Eckington in Worcestershire. The train was 6Z56, the Berkeley CEGB (1543 hrs) to Crewe Coal Sidings. The locos were 68018 'Vigilant' & 68034.
