The track at this location has been recently re-laid to introduce a spur to the new Energy Centre. This line will shortly be accommodating waste trains from London, the refuse being processed in this centre, (seen behind the road bridge on the left). This offers the prospect of loco-hauled freight resuming on the Severn Beach Line.
