A view of the Severn Beach Line at New Pill Outfall, a short distance up the line from Severn Beach station. One of the newly deployed Class 166 units of GWR heads towards the terminus station with the first down train of the day on Monday 28 August 2017. The new livery of these units poses a photographic problem in rural settings, and in this sense I preferred the blue FGW livery as it stood out more clearly from the surroundings. The M4 Severn Bridge completes the background for this scene.
