Sunshine and Stink

Sunshine and Stink

What must surely be one of the most malodourous workings on the national rail network, the 6C03 Southall to Severnside 'Bin Liner', stands at Clifton Down station in Bristol. This was on the afternoon of Sunday 22 July 2018, when the temperature hit 28C, thus making this train even more unsociable than normal. Motive power was Class 66 diesel locomotive no. 66075 of DB Cargo. The train waited here for some 15 minutes for a passing passenger service from Severn Beach.
