Bill Brandt's Snicket
I do not routinely attempt images such as this, but I was in Halifax, and, as I suspect most photographers who visit the town find out, the lure of this famous view cannot be resisted. The scene was immortalised by Bill Brandt in 1937, and has since been attempted by other well known artists, including notably Michael Kenna. I think the view definitely needs the wet sheen of Brandt's original. I found it fun to walk in the footsteps of these photo 'Greats'.
