A scene from the Avon Valley, a short distance to the east of Freshford station. Class 158 DMU no. 158954 heads off in the direction of Bradford-on-Avon on the afternoon of Wednesday 08 November 2017. This train was 1F13, a GWR service from Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour. About half of the GWR services on this line today were in the new green livery, which really does not work photographically in a scene such as this. I have become pleased to see the previous FGW livery, which stands out well in the countryside.
